Hum Log (1984-85)

Alif Laila is a TV series based on the stories from One Thousand and One Nights. It was produced by Sagar Films (Pvt. Ltd.). It was made in two seasons. The first season was aired on DD National and season two on ARY Digital. Popularity of the show lead to it being broadcast in Bengali on BTV, and ETV. The show started re-airing from 2012 on Dhamaal TV every weekdays.
Vikram Aur Betaal (1985)
The legend says that Vikram aur Betaal has been one of the most popular fantasy shows made for children and had won acclaim and huge popularity during its run on Doordarshan National Network in the year 1985.
Malgudi Days (1986)
Narasimhan became popular for producing ‘Malgudi Days’, a Hindi serial for Doordarshan in 1986 based on the works of RK Narayan
Buniyaad is an Indian television drama-series that was directed by Ramesh Sippy and Jyoti Sarup. The series was written by Manohar Shyam Joshi and dealt with the Partition of India in 1947 and its aftermath. Buniyaad first aired in 1986 on the Indian state television Doordarshan.
Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne (1989-90)
popular Hindi TV serial Udaan (Fight) was aired by DD National in 1989–91,The serial Udaan had captured the imagination of young girls and the serial was a rage.
Chandrakanta is an Indian fantasy television series partly based on Devaki Nandan Khatri’s novel of the same name. It was originally telecast on Doordarshan’s DD National between 1994 and 1996.
Byomkesh Bakshi (1993)
Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective in Bengali literature created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. He is one of the most successful detective characters in Bengali literature.
