This Video Of Mumbai’s Laborers Getting Together For A Song Proves That Talent Never Dies

They say that no matter how much you try, you can never suppress art. You can take the person out of the art, but you can’t take the art out of the person.

The people at Aur Dikhao brought together five people, who are essential cogs in the running of the City of Dreams, to record a song, written and composed by themselves. Sung by a bus driver, written by a cab driver, a visually impaired flute player at Dadar station, a blind dholak player at Kandivali station, and a mridang and harmonium player, both dabbawalas.

Watch how they channel their inner talent and create a beautiful melody about hopes and dreams, which impressed even Jackie Shroff.

Talent prevails over hardships, always!
